Holland Perdue III is a lifelong resident of Rocky Mount, Virginia. Born to Clyde H. Perdue Jr. and Vickie Brubaker Perdue in 1985, Holland’s roots in this region run deep. He attended public schools in Rocky Mount, and graduated from Franklin County High School in 2003. Holland completed his undergraduate work at Virginia Tech, and graduated with a Juris Doctor from the Appalachian School of Law in 2010.

 

At that time, Holland returned to Rocky Mount to practice law in the firm founded by his grandfather, Clyde Holland PerduePerdue has offered legal counsel in civil and criminal matters in courtrooms throughout Virginia, as well as arguing before the Virginia Supreme Court, and is admitted and qualified to practice law in the Supreme Court of the United States.

 

In addition to his legal practice, Perdue runs several small businesses, and invests with his time and financial resources to help other entrepreneurs achieve their professional goals.

 

Prior to being elected Mayor in 2022, Perdue served as the Chair of the Rocky Mount Board of Zoning Appeals.
